I recently started hosting a series of Facebook Live conversations with travel industry stakeholders, in collaboration with PAX Global Media.

These are the folks behind the PAX News and PAX Nouvelles websites covering all the relevant news for travel industry professionals across Canada, in both French and English.

In this third instalment, I had the great pleasure of chatting with Angela Bennett, Regional Director, Canada, for the Jamaica Tourism Board. During 30 minutes, we covered quite a bit of ground:

  • State of the situation in Jamaica right now related to Covid-19
  • Measures of precaution being taken and how things are evolving in order to greet tourists again on the island
  • Tourism marketing initiatives to make sure consumers and potential travelers still consider Jamaica as their next destination
  • Incentives for travel advisors, as the month of May arrives (travel agent month)
